Mayor of Morpeth's First Fundraiser Raises Over £3,000 for the British Heart Foundation

A charity night in the heart of town has given the Mayor of Morpeth's fundraising year a flying start. Councillor Wendy Fail, who took up the chain of office for 2026 to 2027, held her first charity event at Lollo Rosso on Bridge Street, raising more than £3,000 for her chosen cause, the British Heart Foundation.

The evening brought together supporters for a night of food and entertainment at one of Morpeth's most popular restaurants. Music came from Jason King, whom the Mayor credited with creating a fabulous atmosphere and keeping the room going through the night.
