About Kumon Morpeth Study Centre

Kumon Morpeth Study Centre offers maths and English tuition for students aged four to eighteen, using the Kumon method of individualised, self-paced learning that builds confidence and independent study skills. Rather than working through problems alongside a tutor, students progress through carefully graded worksheets pitched at exactly the right level — challenging enough to make progress, but manageable enough to complete without constant adult help — developing the discipline and self-motivation that carry across all areas of school. Because the programme runs from pre-school age through to eighteen, a child who starts early can continue through primary, middle and high school with the same provider.

The centre operates from Winton House on Howard Road in Morpeth and is run by instructor Sarah Woods, who studied mathematics at university and has been a Kumon instructor since 2014. It is Ofsted registered and also offers Kumon Connect online learning, drawing students from surrounding areas including Ashington, Blyth, Alnwick and Cramlington.
