Meet Paddington at Hopetown (Free)

About This Event

Celebrate the start of the school holidays with Britain's favourite bear at Hopetown Darlington. Paddington appears at intervals throughout the day on the platform outside North Road Station Museum for meet-and-greet photo opportunities, surrounded by classic station charm. The day is packed with family activities: outdoor screenings of Paddington 2 on the Screen on the Green, creative workshops, and picnic spots aplenty. You can also get up close to Tornado, the iconic Peppercorn A1 steam locomotive built right here in Darlington and starring in Paddington 2. Hopetown is free to enter, though some activities carry a separate charge.
