Return to Oz
A half-term matinee screening of the 1985 film Return to Oz at Arts Centre Washington.
About This Event
A half-term matinee of Return to Oz, Disney's 1985 follow-up to The Wizard of Oz, directed by Walter Murch. It sticks more closely to L. Frank Baum's original books and is famously darker and more surreal than the 1939 classic, so much so that it is often called one of the darkest children's films ever made. A box-office disappointment on release, it has since become a cult favourite. The film is certificate PG and is part of Arts Centre Washington's seasonal special screenings. Tickets are £6 for adults and £4 for children.
