The smash-hit musical The Bodyguard brings its Newcastle run to a close at the Theatre Royal, with the final performances landing on the August Bank Holiday weekend (the show runs Mon 27 July to Sat 1 August 2026). Based on the blockbuster film, it tells the story of former Secret Service agent turned bodyguard Frank Farmer, hired to protect superstar Rachel Marron from an unknown stalker. Expect a breathtakingly romantic thriller wrapped around some of the most beloved songs ever written, including 'One Moment in Time', 'Saving All My Love', 'I'm Every Woman', 'Run to You', 'I Have Nothing' and, of course, 'I Will Always Love You'. It is a spectacular, high-energy production that has thrilled audiences across the country.
