About This Event

Sunderland Film Club presents The Weird and the Eerie II: Wyrd Albion — a one-day festival of left-field British folk horror at Arts Centre Washington. The programme spans three landmark films: Robin Redbreast (1970), Penda's Fen (1974), and Ben Wheatley's A Field in England (2013), interspersed with live performances from Hyem (a Newcastle fiddle trio blending North East and European bal music) and experimental guitarist Lucy Valentine. The festival runs from 4pm to approximately 10:30pm. Individual film tickets are available at £5 each, or a day pass covers all three screenings plus live sets for £12. Suitable for ages 15+.
