About FIKA Gallery

FIKA is a Scandi-inspired café and contemporary art gallery at 1-3 Oldgate in Morpeth, right beside the Clock Tower. The café serves all-day brunch and speciality coffee alongside pastries and cakes from Newcastle's Pink Lane Bakery, and is open seven days a week from 9am. As a genuine selling gallery it showcases original work by more than thirty contemporary artists from across the North East, with exhibitions rotating regularly; visitors can take home paintings, prints and handmade pieces directly, and artists interested in exhibiting are welcome to get in touch.

The dedicated upstairs studio accommodates up to twelve people and hosts a varied programme of creative workshops led by experienced tutors, from pottery, painting and jewellery making to wreath workshops and popular paint-and-sip evenings. Each session is designed to be accessible regardless of experience, making them ideal for beginners, date nights or group outings, and the studio is also available for private event hire.
