Morpeth Repair Cafe

Volunteer-run monthly repair cafe at Barnabas Safe & Sound on Dark Lane, where residents can bring broken bikes, toys, small electricals, clothing and textiles for a free repair.

About Morpeth Repair Cafe

Morpeth Repair Cafe is a volunteer-run drop-in where people bring broken household items to be fixed rather than thrown away. Volunteers look at bikes, toys, small electrical equipment, clothing and textiles, among other things, and repairs are free. It is promoted by Morpeth Town Council and listed with The Restart Project, the national network of community repair events.

Sessions are normally held on the first Saturday of each month from 10am at Barnabas Safe & Sound, Wellwood House, Dark Lane, with the January session moved to the second Saturday and no session in August. There is no need to book; just bring your item along. The cafe also welcomes new volunteers, who can get in touch by email at morpethrepaircafe@gmail.com.
