About Morpeth Rugby Football Club
Morpeth Rugby Football Club plays at Grange House Field on Mitford Road, a short walk west of the town centre. The club runs a broad playing section rather than just a first team: alongside Morpeth and Morpeth II there are the Edwardians (3rd XV) and the Stags (4th XV), the Ranters veterans side and the touring Marauders, a Morpeth Ladies team, and a full mini and junior programme running from under-6s up to under-18s, including dedicated girls' teams at under-12, under-14, under-16 and under-18.
The ground doubles as one of Morpeth's busier community venues. The clubhouse and its facilities can be booked for functions, other organisations train on site, and the club's calendar carries blood-donor sessions, race nights and dinners through the season. Its best-known fixture with the wider town is its annual Bonfire Night, held at Grange House Field for more than forty years and one of the few events left in the North East built around an actual bonfire rather than fireworks alone.
